Maison DION is built on promises we can keep.
We don’t produce at scale. We don’t carry sustainability labels we can’t fully stand behind. What we do: choose deliberately.
Every single time.
We're on our way.
Part of the collection is made by local ateliers, by hand, with care, with the time that proper craft requires. These pieces carry the backneck label Maison DION Atelier. Another part works with deadstock: existing inventory from suppliers we’ve reworked into our own silhouettes. A collar adjusted. A sleeve shortened. A panel added. Not because it’s easier, but because good fabric deserves a second life, and we don’t believe in producing for the sake of production. The rest of the collection is produced to order and specification, with manufacturers we know and trust, because a complete collection requires a complete production process. For the first drop, that means manufacturers in China and Turkey. For the collections that follow, we aim to produce as close to home as possible, think Portugal, Poland and Turkey. At the same time, we continue to work with Chinese manufacturers we know well and trust, drawing on their expertise for the making of our collections. All items made outside the atelier carry the backneck label Maison DION.
Honest about sizing: with deadstock items, we haven’t always had a choice which sizing we could offer. The deadstock intake determines the size breakdown, not the other way around. We’re working toward a full size range across every piece, but for part of the first collection, that means combined sizes in practice: S/M, M/L or one size. Not a marketing choice. Just the reality of working thoughtfully with what exists.
We know exactly where we’re going. We’re just not there yet, and we have absolutely no problem saying that out loud. Every house starts somewhere. The difference is intention. We have it.
